A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is
one of the simplest and most common procedures to fight the visible
signs of aging. The muscles and skin on the forehead begin to lose
elasticity with age, which causes drooping and furrowing.
A brow
lift works by smoothing out lines and lifting sagging skin. This
procedure can be done endoscopically (3-5 half-inch cuts in the
top of the scalp) or trans-coronally (an incision from one ear to
the other across the top of the head, hidden in the hair).
The recovery period
after a brow lift greatly depends on the procedure, so discuss recovery
timing with your surgeon. Patients will typically experience mild
pain and numbness, but these symptoms are easily treated with medication.
Doctors often recommend keeping the head elevated for several days
after the procedure to reduce swelling. You will want to take it
easy for a few days, and avoid strenuous physical activity for a
week. Most of our brow lift patients take a week or two off work
to recover.
The average cost of Brow Lift (Forehead Lift) is around $3999-$7995.
Having more than one surgery at a time can reduce the overall cost. Be sure to check with your doctor about the options available and the risks of combining more than one procedure.
